REALTOR Qualifications Posted February 2, 2012
REALTORS have an obligation and a duty to have the skills and knowledge to properly represent their clients. We deem it important to require high pre-licensing education standards, and more stringent continuing education requirements. Indiana House Bill 1102 & Senate Bill 275 address these issues. The bill if approved would increrase initial licensing requirements to 90 hours of class with a continuing education requirement of 12 hours per year. To become a Managing Broker a REALTOR would be required to take 24 hours of Real Estate Management Education. A number of States have this requirement, we in Indiana do not! As full-time professional REALTORS we fully support this bill.
